Another Awesome Theatrical Production in 2019

Please spread the word and help us gather support for an original production that is sure to get you swaying to the groove and whistling to the tunes that made the Philippine 70’s a fun time to be in.

Aside from being a Fund Raiser, it is also a tribute of our kids to one of the Hotdog’s legend, Rene Garcia, who happens to be the brother of one of Tuloy’s indefatigable board member Kuya Greg Garcia. The script was written by our Performing Arts Director Ms. Joonie Garcia who also happens to be the niece of Kuya Rene.

“Pers Lab” (First Love) is not just about the play. We hope you get to experience the huge Love that was put into producing this play. See you all there.

Poor Tuloy Kids Donate to the Poor

Fr. Rocky was clearly ecstatic to the gut when Tuloy Trainees of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning gifted him with money they have saved so that other students can benefit from the Technical Education offered by Tuloy. In his own words Fr. Rocky messaged as follows.

“I could not hold back my tears when a group of Tuloy students of the Ref. and Air Con Course gave me 20.880.80 pesos in one peso , five peso, and some 20 peso bills collected thru the year to help in their own little way somebody poorer than they ... hard hard earned money thru begging, carry loads at night Widow's mite talaga!!!

What a humbling and inspiring and example from our Tuloy kids.

Thank you friends and benefactors for helping this transformation of our kids.

You help them to help others this early . even if they

are still struggling

God bless us all..

First Rugby overseas win for Tuloy and for the Philippines at First Pacific Cup

Lyndon-Adlao-640x382.jpg

Manila Bulletin August 28, 2018

The Philippine U19 National Rugby Development Team defeated Hong Kong for the first time recently in the opening match of the International Development Series.

The future batch of the Philippine Volcanoes, better known as rising stars, put together a stellar performance to outplay their opponents 36 to 12 in sunny conditions at the Southern Plains Sports Field, Calamba.

It was the visitors who opened up the scoring 5 points to nil early in the match, however it wasn’t long until the local heroes put together some teamwork of their own. Lyndon Adlao, an experienced member of both the Eagles RFC and previous National Youth Teams, continued to show why he was force, as he lead from the front, on all facets play. Adlao broke the defensive line early with a barnstorming run for his first try.

A strong display from the Philippine backline kept the Philippines in the match, pressuring the Hong Kong Warriors and capitalizing on their strong defense. It wasn’t long until Adlao swooped again, finding loose ball and open space to score his second try and take the Volcanoes to a 12 to 5 lead after 20 minutes of regular play.

The Philippine forward pack continued to provide strong go forward from Marco Xavier Tan and Fausto Eizmendi. Coach Carlito Abono opted for an early injection for some fresh impact. Abono called upon Reymarc Faller Bustillo of the Makati Chiefs who proved to be a notable difference.

“This is the first time I have seen our local development team play this outstanding, to put on 36 points against a team like the Hong Kong Warriors, it’s tremendous to see. Reymarc Bustillo for me was outstanding, strong runner and very fast off his feet, he had an outstanding game” said Jake Letts of Philippine Rugby

“Proud of the guys, proud Coach and mentor. We still need to be ready on Monday, so our game face is still on,” said Abono.

The ever inspiring Julia Morley has left her heart in Tuloy.  It was she who rediscovered the soul of beauty contests by promoting "Beauty with a Purpose."   Although Ate Cory Quirino was no longer directly involved with the Brand, it was heart warming to be assured that the Miss World franchise will never abandon our abandoned kids.

What truly touched us deeply however was when she, on live TV, rallied  support for Fr. Rocky and the mission of Tuloy during the  Miss World Philippine Contest.

Miss World Org. head and owner Madaam Julia Morley with 6 previous MWP winners and its new director Mr. Arnold Vegafria as she was presented with the plaque of appreciation.

Thank  you Ms Julia not only for acknowledging the extraordinary beauty you saw in our kids  but also for encouraging all those who have made Tuloy the reality that it is.

Nelson Mandela's grandson visits Tuloy and shares meaningful memories with our Kids

IMG_4044.JPG

Last September 2, 2017, the grandson of  Nelson Mandela, Zwelivelile Mandlesizwe Mandela Chief of the Royal House of Mandela and Honorable member of  the Parliament of South Africa has honored Tuloy sa Don Bosco with his presence. In  his inspiring message he recalled how his grandfather left open the gates of their home for any person to come in ("Tuloy po"). It was therefore normal for him so see total strangers walking around their compound. Having been embraced by our street kids was very humbling for him to remember how street kids in South Africa used to walk up and embrace his grandfather.

The Chief was amazed to once again relive the bond that South Africa has with Tuloy. In March of 2010 our kids participated in the First  Deloitte Street Child World Cup (SCWC) held in Durban South Aftrica. The Shield trophy, the only award given out in the event apart from the championship crown, was given to the RP team for their hard-earned 2-1 win over host South Africa. But what everyone could not forget about that day was how our victorious kids took the flag of South Africa and ran waving it around the stadium to the warm and emotional applause of the home crowd.

We are sure that Fr. Rocky could very well relate with Nelson Mandela who once said that "Sports has the power to change the world."
